Grief. Unimaginable, painful, swooping waves of grief. I’ve experienced a similar journey before with my dad’s passing in 2017 but this, this is different. This is me missing a limb. It’s been less than 24 hours since my sweet, wonderful, light of my life dog named Obadiah passed away. And I’m writing to help process […]

I’ve been blogging for 6+ years and I finally, finally, finally have my own Amazon storefront! What does this mean exactly? I’ve curated my Amazon page to share my best recommendations for things I use on a daily basis. Kitchen supplies, toys for Nadia, cleaning products, daily supplements, and more! Because we can all use […]

This post has been a long time coming, but the irony is that I don’t truly have time (or make time) to sit and write the way I used to. Just one of the million ways motherhood has changed who I am and what I do. If I can be prepping food for the family, cleaning something (because with a toddler and a large dog, there’s always cleaning to be done) or something that is more productive and helpful for my family, that is the priority over most things. But today, I thought I would sit in my cozy bed and write to you, my friends and my audience that have been by my side for years and years. Or if you are stumbling upon this and my page for the first time, then welcome!
2019 IS OVER! There’s something about a new year (and a new decade) that brings about hope, renewal and excitement. But I want to spend some time to look back at this year and remember everything – both the good and bad – that lead me to where I am today. January I started the […]

I’ve never done a gift guide before but I’m so excited to recommend some of my favourite foodie things! This is a very personal gift guide because I own almost all of the items on this list. Nothing here is sponsored – just products I use and love and that I think would make great […]

I love trying out new mac n cheese recipes and this one is a new favourite! I incorporated Yellowbird’s Serrano Sauce for some extra oomph and I think y’all are gonna LOVE it! Ingredients: 3 tbsp Yellowbird’s Serrano Sauce 16 oz orecchiette noodles 3 tbsp butter 1/4 cup all purpose flour 1 cup milk 1 […]
I was recently given a beautiful wooden watch by the makers at JORD! I chose the cassia walnut and vintage rose piece for an elegant but minimalist style. There are tons of styles to choose from for both men and women (you can shop for them here). Did I mention they have free international shipping? […]

I had the delight of trying several menu items at Street, the new concept opened by Chinatown. They have several types of Asian cuisine but are focusing on their sushi menu, and it’s impressive! These sushi nachos might sound weird on the menu but they were AMAZING. It comes with freshly cubed salmon, wonton chips, […]

Kolaches and klobasnek’s are considered a Texas treat, but we actually have the Czech to thank for them. Batch Craft Beer & Kolaches are taking the art of Czechxican (yes, no?) kolaches to a new level – by making incredible, unique flavors, sourcing local meats, and pairing them all with fantastic craft beers! Let’s start […]

Alright y’all. The search is over. I’ve found the best queso in Austin and you will not believe where it’s from… Soco Bar and Bites in the Embassy Suites Hotel! Their queso is so flavorful, spicy and filled with pico and peppers. You can add avocado, chorizo, or shrimp to it – we went with […]
