This was my 6th year at Austin Food and Wine and it was a GREAT one! I attended as media/press and got to enter the grounds early which really helped me create some great content before the crowds arrived! I also attended the Made In evening event with some of the absolute best and most creative eats I’ve ever had all my years at Austin Food and Wine! As always you can see more about my experience on my Instagram.
Spent the day with my good friend Shveta!
ABW Cantina had delicious tacos with an amazing tomatillo salsa.
Delysia Chocolates had some fun and unique flavors like hot chicken!
LOVED this polenta from Juliet Kitchen!
My favorite bite from the daytime festival was this perfect meatball from Jacoby’s!
It was the most beautiful weather that day – 75 and sunny!
Salty Donut is always a good idea – they had HUGE raspberry donuts!
Loved this chardonnay from Educated Guess.
Phenomenal champagne!
Ensenada had my second fave bite of the daytime festival, the most delicious fish taco!
HEB had the cutest trailer!
The Made In Event had some truly incredible bites – this lamb taco was DIVINE!
This veggie flatbread was soooo good it was hard not to grab a second plate!
Bureau de Poste had the loveliest little steak bite!
Aba had delicious roasted chicken!
Last but definitely not least was Ezov’s lamb flatbread… one of the best of the whole night!
That was JUST day one… soooo much good food but day two was *even better*
It was actually overcast and cloudy which is my type of weather! I was thriving and ready for round two!
I really loved Daou wines – they were my fave I had the whole festival. I actually went on day 1 and went back on day 2 for more!
The tacos at El Alma were 10/10! They had a whole taco bar where you can choose your meat and toppings. SOOO good!
Hai Hospitality had these delicious nachos!
LOVED the ceviche at ATX Cocina. So refreshing and light!
Again, the food on day 2 was just impressive. Steak tartare on rice crisps from Honeymoon Spirit Lounge was *chefs kiss*
THE BEST THING I HAD ALL DAY – this dungeness crabcake from The Lonesome Dove! I mean look at that thing! It was soooo succulent, beautifully presented, and just so so so good.
Elementary has such great playful food and I loved this banh mi profiterole!
El Raval seriously impressed me with this oxtail hummus bite.
Cruzteca brought old school tacos and they were a big hit!
Intero had delicious veggies and perfect garlic bread. A true masterpiece!
Terry Black’s went all out with their BBQ set up!
A brand new tequila company from Dallas set up shop and had deeeelicious cocktails.
Licha’s hit the spot with these perfect little tamales!
And that’s a wrap!! If you have any questions about what to expect at Austin Food and Wine next year, feel free to email me at hello@themoniquestory.com 🙂
