TLC describes themselves as a “come-as-you-are indoor and outdoor space” and features counter service and community tables with fun arcade games and tons of tv’s for sports fans. Think of them as a southern coastal restaurant boasting fresh, well sourced seafood boils as well as regional comfort food that we know and love. This is what TLC says about their name: “We keep the name open for interpretation. The way we see it, whatever TLC stands for in your mind is exactly what it stands for.” Oh, and if you’re thirsty, they have 30 beers on tap (plus fabulous cocktails).

I was invited to try their brunch – y’all – this was one of the best food experiences I’ve ever had!! Not only are their noms I N C R E D I B L E, but the service and atmosphere are on point!

We started with the gulf oysters and atomic shrimp cocktail with a signature spicy horseradish sauce. Then we had amazing smoked bbq deviled eggs, crispy fried okra, super fluffy andouille and cheddar hush puppies, and incredibly flavorful oysters rockefeller. So far, I’ve completely loved everything on this list. 100% LOVED.

Next up we tried the chicken fried steak, DKR sandwich, the enlightenment sandwich, the 04 goodness sake sandwich, and the fried green tomato blt. And yes, they had to roll me out of the restaurant. But it was worth it because WWWOOOOOOWWWW it was all so amazing!! The 04 Goodness Sake is made with house cured and smoked pork tasso, Nueske’s bacon, sharp Cheddar, a fried egg, and perfect apple chutney. The DKR is made with shredded brisket, shiitake mushrooms, caramelized onions, and chipotle dressing. This was my fave sammie! The enlightenment was piled high on multigrain bread with so many veggies including romaine, cucumber, carrot, red onion, watermelon radish, avocado, sharp cheddar, alfalfa sprouts and pesto. Oh and the chicken fried steak might be the best I’ve EVER HAD. It is mighty and huge. The fabulous Texas classic is made with 44 Farms ribeye, brisket country gravy, roasted garlic and rosemary mashed potatoes, and stupid good roasted brussels sprouts. Commence the drooling.

I couldn’t finish this long post without including the massive, fantastic, impressive seafood boil with king crab, snow crab, mussels, gulf shrimp, potatoes and corn all rubbed down with cajun spice. The crab melted in my mouth – you can tell that they aren’t getting the cheap stuff but rather the best and highest quality!

Oh, dessert. If you’re thinking “there’s no way any of them ate this after that feast,” you’re wrong. Very wrong. We licked these plates clean, folks. There’s a homemade sticky pecan pie, a seasonal apple cobbler, and ooey gooey fudge brownie (all topped with the best ice cream around – Blue Bell).

I’m sure these photos have you wishing and hoping for this to be in your life – here are the dirty deets to make that happen. TLC is open Sunday to Thursday from 11 am – 11 pm and until 12 am on Friday and Saturday. Their happy hour is all night on Monday and from 3 – 7pm Tuesday – Friday. Go and enjoy all the amazing eats this place has to offer!!!!
