Y’all probably know by now that Andiamo Ristorante is one of my most favourite restaurants. Everything that they produce is impeccable! I’m happy to share that this new winter menu has blown me away yet again. Incredible flavors that include rich saffron and fontina cheese, textures that include fluffy pillow dumplings and crunchy crisp green beans, and beautiful presentations to bring it all together! It’s everything you want in an Italian feast.

Involtini di Zucchine e Caprino – thin slices of zucchini, grilled and rolled with goat cheese, ricotta, capers and fresh mint, finished with balsamic reduction and extra virgin olive oil. I ate three of these, knowing well I had many more dishes to come. It was just THAT good.

Polenta con Fonduta di Formaggi – soft polenta, topped with cheese fondue and spinach. Again, I had several servings of this because I just couldn’t stop. It’s the perfect dish to bring you some warmth this winter!

Insalata di Fagiolini – green beans, tossed with red onions, walnuts, and gorgonzola cheese in lemon olive oil. It’s always nice to have some fresh greens amongst all the comfort food. These crisp green beans match perfectly with the onions and gorgonzola!

Cestino di Formaggio – parmigiano cheese basket, filled with mix mushrooms in a fresh rosemary olive oil and topped with crispy prosciutto di Parma. How adorable is this?!

Gnocchi alla Bava – Potato and flour gnocchi, with fontina cream sauce. I can’t get enough of this dish. I’ve never had such fluffy, pillow-like dumplings! If I had to pick one favourite new winter menu item, this would be it!

Winter Special – Linguine pasta with saffron and black truffle – it’s available for lunch and sinner everyday with a glass of wine for $30! The mixture of saffron threads with rich truffle plus the fresh homemade noodles makes this the most luxurious dish.

Costoletta di Agnello – oven roasted New Zealand lamb chops, served with roasted carrots, tomatoes and green onions in a pomegranate sauce. It’s hard to not lick the plate clean with this one. Perfectly tender lamb and incredible flavors makes this a must-have!

Torta Ricotta e Cioccolato – traditional ricotta and chocolate cake. Perfectly fluffy due to the ricotta folded in and it’s not overly sweet!

Andiamo has several great specials as well:

  • On Monday’s you can order a pasta flight (3 different types of pastas) for $25!
  • The last Tuesday of every month is their wine dinner pairing – 4 courses with 4 glasses of wine for $70!
  • On Winesday Wednesday’s, they have 1/2 off bottles of wine.
  • Thursday’s are to celebrate friends and family – order a risotto with porcini mushrooms in a parmesan cream sauce plus a bottle of wine for only $45!

Aaaaand soon they will have cooking classes so you can recreate some of Andiamo’s amazing dishes!
