Galaxy Cafe is definitely one of my favourite spots in Austin. With 4 locations – one in Clarksville, one in South Austin, one in Northwest Hills, and one in the Triangle – it’s 100% local (and delicious). Last weekend my boyfriend and I went for Sunday brunch and it was D I V I N E. I strayed from the usual go-to (burger with brie and caramelized onions) to try the Denver omelet.

Behold it in all its beauty.

Needless to say it did not disappoint. The potatoes were perfectly seasoned and zesty, the eggs tasted real (because they were real!) and the half bagel with cream cheese and jam was the perfect amount of sweetness. This kept me energized all day!

This place is also super quirky. It wouldn’t be a properly local Austinite scene without a few weird characteristics. Every order number has a funny, interesting word with its definition.

A few of my other favourite items on the menu are the grilled chicken chipotle wrap with sweet potato fries on the side. I also like the grilled chicken sandwich with mozzarella and bacon
with mac n cheese on the side. PS they have one of the BEST mac n cheese’s in town! And I know I already mentioned it, but the brie burger is one of the most beautiful, tastiest creations I’ve had. The meat is always perfectly cooked and juicy, and the brie is fresh and melted just right.

If you are looking for breakfast, lunch or dinner, this place has it all! Their breakfast on weekdays goes until 11:30am, but on the weekends, you can get breakfast items until 4pm! I highly recommend this place (it’s also great for families and your picky eater friends!) Have you been to Galaxy? What’s your fave item on the menu? I’d love to hear your feedback!13092155_10205948859590378_6316645826533002074_n

UPDATE:

My instagram picture from my visit to Galaxy was published in the Austin American Statesman on 4/22! Very exciting stuff happening!
