One of my favourite things to do is go on lunch dates with my friends. My sister and I have lunch dates almost once a week, and it is so nice to make time time from a busy day and treat your body right. I’ve compiled a list of the most popular and delicious spots for lunch in Austin. Have any suggestions? Please let me know! And don’t forget to take a look at the entire City Guide here.

I loooove heading into Whole Foods on 6th the and Lamar and seeing what’s at the hot bar… and grill, and sushi bar, and taco bar, and bbq line…. basically I love it all. Another great stop is Trace at the W –  they call it Lunch on the Fly. Their lunch deals are incredible and start at just $12 for sandwiches, with amazing dishes like duck confit grilled cheese and pea hummus tartine. Also, it’s hard to say no to VIA 313, no matter what time it is.

Whole Foods: 525 N Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78703
Trace: 200 Lavaca St, Austin, TX 78701
Via 313: 61 Rainey St, Austin, TX 78701

North Central Austin has some of my favourite eats in town. Pinthouse Pizza has a $10 lunch option that is too good to pass up – a personal size pizza, side salad, and drink! I also love Little Deli where you can get pizza, salad, or a sandwich at a great price, and dine on a beautiful patio (or take it to go). The Steeping Room is another great option for healthy but tasty eats with special buddha bowls and classic soup and sandwich combos.

Pinthouse Pizza: 4729 Burnet Rd, Austin, TX 78756
Little Deli: 7101 Woodrow Ave, Austin, TX 78757
The Steeping Room: 4400 N Lamar Blvd #102, Austin, TX 78756

South Austin boasts some incredible spots including Cafe Malta for some Mediterranean Eats and Bombay Dhaba for Indian dishes. There is also P. Terry’s (all over Austin) that can make almost anyone happy as can be. If you have some time, take a slow lunch at Lucy’s Fried Chicken – it will cure a case of the Monday’s (or Tuesday’s, or Wednesday’s…)

Cafe Malta: 3421 W William Cannon Dr, Austin, TX 78745
Bombay Dhaba: 1207 S 1st St, Austin, TX 78704
P Terry’s: 204 W Ben White, Austin, TX 78704
Lucy’s Fried Chicken: 2218 College Ave, Austin, TX 78704

I live on the East Side and frequent many of the eateries here. Contigo has a new lunch menu with some amazing things to choose! Xian Sushi and Noodle has a lunch menu that is hard to beat – their signature hand pulled noodle dishes start at $8! Eastside Cafe also has some classic Texan eats while bringing the freshest foods straight from their own garden. And then there’s Hillside Farmacy… delicious sandwiches and simple eats with great flavor and prices!

Contigo: 2027 Anchor Ln, Austin, TX 78723
Xian: 801 E 51st St, Austin, TX 78723
Eastside Cafe: 2113 Manor Rd, Austin, TX 78722
Hillside Farmacy: 1209 E 11th St, Austin, TX 78702

If I’m missing a staple, classic, or must have lunch spot, please comment below! I wish you well with happy eats and treats!

Don’t worry, I wouldn’t leave you without any pictures to drool over! 😉
